Art Can Be Magic - Or Not Book Fairy Book Fairy Hello [FIRST NAME], I have a file on my computer of all the artwork I have created over the years. It is fun to bring it up and see the portraits of all my art children. Each one of them has a story. Some are of the difficulty of birth, others of being set aside during their exasperating adolescence, and a few are of their amazing transformation from dabs of paint to full maturity in a very short time. That was "Book Fairy." "Book Fairy" grabbed me from the first messy brush strokes. Going in I knew I wanted to create an abstract portrait. I texturized the paper. I chose a color palette, or it chose me. I was at the beach condo by myself, waiting for friends who were coming to visit. Blue and green from the sky and waters of the Gulf of Mexico stretched before me. Then "Book Fairy" came striding in on a wave of creativity. I hardly had to work. She just called and I followed her lead. What a heady magical experience! I thought I had finally reached the top of the creative art hill during those frenzied days. I could paint. I could create. I was in control. I was riding a wave of dopamine rush in the ocean of art. I felt I had reached a new peak and was now a certified artist. Then, on to the next painting. The blank canvas stared back at me. It said nothing. Completely mute. I tried to coax the little devil, or angel as might be the case, out of its hiding place, but to no avail. So maybe I'm not the queen of this hill. Darn! Maybe this is a metaphor for life. Climb the mountain. Confront obstacles. Go down the mountain. I think of Ulysses, Moses, Jesus, me. Thank you for participating in my art journey. "Book Fairy" will be traveling with me to an art show in the near future. I have a tent/booth and I'm working to put all the pieces together for a new display for my art. I'll have more details soon, so follow me on Facebook and Instagram. Peace be with you, Ellen "Book Fairy" is a textured, mixed media work on paper. Matted and framed, it measures 24" x 30". {{FASO_DOMAIN_VISIBLE}} {{AM_COMPANY_NAME}} {{AM_COMPANY_ADDRESS}} {{AM_CSZ}} {{AM_COUNTRY}} Unsubscribe Sent with ArtfulMail
